Golf Tournament June 28th Villa de Paz Golf Course
Hello All,
As most of you know, I am organizing a charity Golf Tournament for a very sick child at Tanner's school. The tournament will be held Saturday June 28th, 2008 at the Villa De Paz Golf Club (103rd Ave and Indian School Rd). Their will be contest holes, Raffle Prizes, and a silent auction for Autographed sports memorabilia.
For those of you who have not heard of this little boy, his name is John "Buddy" Padilla. Since birth he has struggled with a rare type of Dysmotility Disorder. This is a Gastrointestinal Disease that will not allow his Intestines to process his food and dispose of it properly. It is a smooth Muscle Disorder. Last year, Buddy became very ill and it caused his stomach to stop functioning properly. Now he is hooked up to an IV pole 20 hours a day, and his body can not handle temperatures over 75 degrees.
I recently visited Buddy at Phoenix Children's Hospital for the first time. I did not know what to expect when I met him, but to my surprise he is one of the smartest and happiest kids I have ever met!!!! Recently, someone had stolen the Nintendo WII from the teen room at the hospital. This act upset him not because he could not play the games anymore, but because there was a lot of sick kids at the hospital that could no longer just relax and get lost in their games to forget about their illnesses! Despite all of his obstacles, Buddy thinks of others before himself, so we would love to return the favor.
Thanks to my Manager Gregg Dolak and his wife Tammy, the kids now have a Nintendo WII in the teen room again! Now it is time to concentrate on helping Buddy.
Attached you will find a picture of Buddy and an entry form into the Golf Tournament. Please pass this along to your entire address book, as I am now. If you prefer, you can volunteer to help work the event. To volunteer please let me know by June 15th. We have a rare instance where we can make a huge impact on one persons life. If you know somebody that is interested in playing, or that is interested in sponsoring a hole, please forward my information to them.
Below is also a link to Buddy's new website for his story and donation information, and a link to the story that the Arizona Republic did when Officer Jason Shechterle went to visit him about two weeks ago.

Golf Tournament Great Fun!
Some of the happy golfers at the golf tournament. It was 110 degrees out but that doesn't stop golfers! Thanks so much to Zach and Amanda for all their work setting up the golf tournament, raffle and auction. It is greatly appreciated!!
